I was doing some research for my upcoming jump start on starting over in civilian life. I was wondering how much I need to make as a standard to survive in today environments and where was best to start. I found a useful tool that shows you how much you need per area, per child, per partner. The calculator was made by MIT to calculate poverty in certain areas.

Might want to do the research before having kids. Happy hunting.

How much is your time worth to you?
The guys over at Clearerthinking have made a great online
app to sum up how much your time with worth. I suggest you try it, it gave me
some great insight. Apparently I need to go find a job worth $18 an hour. Happy hunting.
